The buildings at the Pioneer Village are all over 200 years old and carry a lot of history with them from the original families who lived in them to the volunteers who have spent 50 years taking care of them. We are going to be opening up two of our buildings for Paranormal Investigations to Private Groups. Our plan is to eventually open up more of the buildings around the Village at a later time but a lot has to be done to them to guarantee they are secure for investigations.
While we work on getting everything up and running (and more automated), check the calendar page and see if the date you want to come is available and send us a message through Facebook (CCpioneervillage or hauntccpv). To begin with, we are aiming at just the weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) but if you have a really big desire to investigate during the week, reach out to us and we can see what we can do (we are a totally volunteer organization so we need to be sure we can cover the day with having a volunteer at the Village). Our initial run of dates will take us to the end of October and then we will see if we want to extend through the winter months (and yes we do have plans to provide warmth in the buildings).
Price: $400
Arrival Time: 7:00 pm
Closing Time: 3:00 am
Age Restriction: No children younger than 16 will be allowed to participate in a paranormal investigation. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian during the investigation.
The price is good for 10 people. If you have more than 10 people than it will be an additional charge of $40 per person (over the 10 allotted). A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation (this is only for the original fee does not include any additional people), until this deposit is received, the reservation is not confirmed. The rest of the amount will be due one week before your reservation. If reservation is a week or less away than total amount is due at reservation (we will send invoices).
No 3rd party investigations are permitted. We are only allowing private groups to do paranormal at the Village and to not have people hosting events and charging to come to the event. Anyone found doing an event like this will be removed from the grounds and no refunds given.
You will be alone on your investigation. A tour of the buildings you will be investigating can be given if you wish before your investigation begins. Before you begin investigating feel free to ask any questions you may have about the Pioneer Village or about our paranormal activity.
While the Village is closed at night, we can not guarantee there will not be anyone driving by or hiking through the perimeter trail that goes through the Village. There will be a team room in which you can take breaks and there will be beverages available for a donation and a refrigerator for anything you bring with you. There will also be a microwave available if needed. We will also provide locks which you can put on the team room while you are not there and on the buildings when you are in the team room to ensure security of your equipment and other belongings.
