Halloween Paranormal Investigation

Date: October 30th

This will be the 6th year we have done our Halloween Paranormal Event. Celebrating the Halloween weekend investigating for spirits at the Pioneer Village is a perfect way to do it. Remember though that our events are limited in space and tickets must be purchased in advance. Bring the kids for trick or treat during the day and then send them home with grandma and grandpa and investigate the Village with us (a few of our lead people will also be handing out treats during the trick or treat event so they will be there all day).

All of our buildings at the Pioneer Village are around 200 years or older. With these buildings being so old and having been at the Pioneer Village for close to 50 years, we have the perfect recipe for many spirits to be around.

Our investigations have found plenty of interesting things at the Village (we don’t want to exactly call it evidence as while we do believe in our spirits, we are also skeptics enough to not assume every little noise is a spirit). Before each investigation we do at the Village with the public, we play some of the fun things we have found at the Pioneer Village including many evps.

If you have ever wanted to be a part of a real paranormal investigation, this is a great opportunity to do it. We have plenty of equipment which we use during these investigations but we also encourage people to bring their own. For each one of these investigations we pick out different buildings from the Village (we do not go into all of them during an investigation as we do have a lot of buildings).

We believe many of the people associated with the Village and these buildings still remain at the Pioneer Village and are very eager to interact with our guests during these evenings as we have had a lot of interaction with them during these nights. This is one of those rare times which you can be in the Pioneer Village at night as we typically are closed to non-members at Dusk.

We will begin the night in the Gazebo. So please park in the Parking lot next to the Village and make your way to the other side of the Village to the Gazebo when you arrive. Our staff will be on hand to greet you when you show up. They have been a part of many investigations at the Village and will be able to answer any questions you may have.

You are not required to stay the whole evening and may leave at any point (2 am can be a bit rough for some people). A friendly reminder though, if you leave the Village Property, you will not be allowed back on the property during the event.

On the night of the event all participants will need to sign a liability waiver form. No one will be allowed to investigate without filling out and signing the form. We also request that any evidence that you find yourself that you do not share it over social media. We want to continue doing these events and that can only happen if everyone respects the Village and its rules.

Time: 8 pm to 2 am

Tickets: A link will be posted on the Facebook event once the event goes live (typically about a month in advance of the event)

*all proceeds from the Pioneer Village events go to sustaining and maintaining the Pioneer Village and its buildings
